ECSF and CME-EA e.V. Health data bear great promises for a healthier and happier life, but they also make us vulnerable. Making use of millions or billions of data points, Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) can support accurate diagnoses, better treatments and greater cost effectiveness. However, it can also have undesirable implications, which may in fact be terrible, e.g. discrimination, the mechanisation of death, and genetic, social, behavioural or technological selection. As many unintended effects become visible only after years, we still lack sufficient criteria, long-term experience and advanced methods to reliably exclude effects being in serious conflict with human rights and the constitution. At the KIT Career Fair, you will have the chance to meet around 170 companies over two days. The Career Service invites you to join a guided group visit to the fair . We will meet at 12:00 p.m. in front of the Career Service tent at the venue. The visit will begin with a short briefing, followed by a practical session where you can practice a brief self-introduction for approaching company representatives at their booths. Afterward, you will have time to explore the fair on your own. A career advisor from HKA will also be on site to support you and answer any questions you may have. HKA-Großprojekt erhält Förderung durch Carl-Zeiss-Stiftung
Die HKA erhält für ihr Großprojekt „Maßgeschneiderte Materialeigenschaften und Miniaturisierung durch Größeneffekte“ eine Förderung von knapp 1 Mio. Euro durch die Carl-Zeiss-Stiftung. Prof. Katrin Schulz und ihr Team erforschen innovative Ansätze, um Materialien ressourceneffizient zu verbessern und neue Einsatzmöglichkeiten zu erschließen.
Film ab! Teaser-Dreh im iXperience Lab
Am 25.09. kamen die Mitarbeitenden des Instituts für Intelligente Interaktion und Immersive Erfahrung (IIIX) zusammen, um einen Teaser über das iXperience Lab – das Forschungslabor des Instituts – zu drehen. Das Filmmaterial wird für die allgemeine Außenkommunikation des Instituts verwendet, um die innovative Arbeit des IIIX einem breiteren Publikum zu präsentieren, so zum Beispiel auf der Research Contacts 2024, der Forschungstransfermesse der HKA.
