TRTG 1483
The Research Training Group 1483:
"Process chains in manufacturing: Interaction, modeling and evaluation of process zones"
Team:
Prof. Dr. Norbert Link
Funding: DFG
Duration: 2008 - 2017
Overview
The aim of this Research Training group is to qualify doctoral researchers in an interdisciplinary approach in the fields Computational Engineering, Materials Sciences and Productions Technology.

The main research idea of the Research Training Group is to devise simulation methods for the description, evaluation and optimisation of component conditions in interlinked manufacturing processes and have them verified by means of experimental studies.
This places the focus of research mainly on process chains ranging from semi-finished to finished components as opposed to previous research, which was mainly centred on process chains from the liquid phase to the semi-finished part.
