The general objective of this course is to introduce engineering students to the
working principles of physical sensors and signal condoning for sensors. The course
is application-oriented and includes experiments and demonstration objects.

General objective / content of
the course
The general objective of this course is to introduce plain C and C++ programming
languages to engineers in a application-oriented way. The students learn to
understand the structure of modern programs and the ideas of modern
programming techniques. The process of creating simple algorithms and programs
in C/C++ is known and can be applied.

Engineering the future with future engineers

Course Title Engineering the future with future engineers
General objective / content of
the course
The main objective of this course is to enable students to understand the societal
impact of their work as engineers in the future. Students learn to conduct a
lifecycle-assessment to analyse environmental impact and apply a design thinking
process to efficiently find feasible solutions for previously identified problems.
Finally, students will be able to develop and produce a prototype considering the
societal impact of engineering. Students will be able to argue their choices and
finally assess the impact of their prototype.
