Short-term programs abroad

As an undergraduate student in engineering or applied computer science you can apply for an internship in research groups at scientific institutions or universities around the world under the RISE Weltweit – Research Internships in Science and Engineering program of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). The internships offered have a duration of between six weeks and three months. If your application is successful you will receive a full scholarship from the DAAD.

Independently of this program, it is also possible to complete a research internship at a (partner) university abroad. Of course, you need to find a suitable research project there as well as someone to supervise you in cooperation with your supervisor at HKA. Experience has shown that this can best be achieved through personal contacts with your professors. 
 

Summer schools

Summer schools are 2- to 3-week compact courses on subject-specific and country-specific topics offered by universities all over the world, including partner universities of HKA. In this case, participation fees are often reduced or even waived if the Summer School is offered as part of an exchange agreement. The International Office can provide scholarships or grants for participation, and credit transfer may also be available in some circumstances.
Please apply for the grants by May 31. 

Summer / winter schools offered by the INGENIUM European University

As part of the GoEast initiative, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) offers scholarships to attend summer schools in the region of East Central, Southeastern, or Eastern Europe.

Language courses and short-term academic stays in Europe can be researched on a subject-specific basis at the website https://www.summerschoolsineurope.eu/.
