Start-ups

Whoever wants to start their own business or develop and implement their own ideas in another setting, needs skills for this that cannot be learned from books or in frontal teaching. That is why we not only teach students theoretical knowledge, but also enable them to apply and reflect on it.

Through the initiative of the Founders' Lab xLab and founding-enthusiastic professors, staff and alumni of all faculties [Link Ambassadors] teaching has changed greatly in many areas in recent years.  Many of the courses are now designed so that students learn through real-life problems and by sharing their experiences.

With co-working spaces, networking events, advising  and an active community, there are also optimal conditions for all those who want to become co-creators of tomorrow's economy and society outside of teaching. A list of all the offers can be found here.

One example of practice-oriented teaching is the Startup Semester. Here students from different faculties work together for a semester on entrepreneurial challenges. These come from alumni or fellow students who themselves are in the process of founding and are looking for reinforcement.
