Academic Mobility

Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences maintains academic relations with more than 180 universities around the world. Within Europe, these are generally bilateral agreements regarding the academic mobility of students and/or university staff for teaching, further education and training within the framework of the Erasmus+ program. The relevant agreements define the study cycles (bachelor, master, doctorate) and the subject areas to which the mobility program relates in each case.

With the non-European partner universities, there are usually university-wide exchange agreements, but there are also cases where these are limited to specific fields of study. An up-to-date list of all of HKA's international partner universities, regardless of the form and scope of the cooperation, can be found here.

In our exchange opportunities database, HKA students can research which foreign partner universities are possible destinations for a semester abroad in their respective degree program.

HKA's International Office (IO) is responsible for the further development and continuation of international academic cooperation with our university. The contact person for cooperation requests, internal or external, is the Director of the IO, Dr. Joachim Lembach, who is also the Institutional Erasmus Coordinator of HKA.
