The bachelor’s degree program in Industrial Engineering and Management has been redesigned from scratch in time for the summer semester 2024. The seven semesters of studying will prepare you to apply your mathematical-digital-technical skills as well as your knowledge of business and economics, in an interdisciplinary way, in your future career.

Studying at HKA enables you to apply scientific concepts and solutions to unprecedented problems in theory and practice in an entrepreneurial, innovative, and speedy manner.

The six specializations are an essential part of the program. You choose from these in semesters three and four, to focus according to your individual preferences:

Intelligent Production Systems
Sustainable Energy Management
Innovation und Technology-Entrepreneurship
Production Management
Financial Management

Our industrial engineers-to-be are characterized by strong foreign language skills. English is a compulsory foreign language in the Bachelor's degree program in Industrial Engineering and Management. The university's Foreign Language Institute offers excellent foreign language training not only in English but including other languages such as Spanish, Japanese, or Chinese.

You can include a semester abroad, opt for the international study option, or even earn an international double degree at, for example, the Universidad Nacional del Litoral in Argentina or at the EPF in Cachan near Paris. After graduating you will have comprehensive know-how in subject areas with relations to economy and engineering. You will find a wide range of employment opportunities at this interface between management and technology, for example as a specialist for data science, in automation, in energy management, in (family) businesses, or in production management.
