Graduates of this program, which focuses on new product and business ideas related to technology, will have mastered creativity and innovation methods for brainstorming, development, and ultimately the entrepreneurial implementation of innovative products and services, as well as combinations thereof.

A special feature of this specialization is the two projects. In these projects, teams work together on entrepreneurial issues from practice and directly apply the theoretical content.

Entrepreneurship

+ Introduction to basic concepts of entrepreneurship

+ Introduction to intrapreneurship and corporate entrepreneurship

+ Development of business models and patterns

Project: Development of Business Ideas

+ Development of initial business ideas (especially using the Design Thinking method) for a relevant practical challenge

+ Familiarization with and use of various creativity techniques

+ Developing simple prototypes and initial tests of the resulting business idea

Developing and Implementing

+ Differentiation between goods and services, portfolio management

+ Methods and organization of product development, model-based product development

+ Integration of internal and external stakeholders, quality and project management

+ Technology management and legal aspects

+ Systematic development of data-based services

Project: Prototyping and Validation of Business Ideas

+ Introduction to design thinking, lean start-up and (rapid) prototyping

+ Introduction to the existing business idea

+ Continuous development of prototypes and validation  (and, if necessary, further development) of the existing business idea with customers and other stakeholders

Who is the degree program suitable for?

This specialization is aimed at students who want to help shape innovative products, processes and business models in an entrepreneurial way.

Ideally, they should be open to new ideas and interested in experimenting, developing and testing ideas and prototypes.

Internship & studying abroad

You shape the future - whether in your own start-up or an established company with a technology focus - wherever innovation and the services offered by the company on the market are involved.

Possible job profiles in established companies can be found in product management, innovation management and product development.
