The specialization in digitalization equips you to actively exploit the opportunities of digitalization and successfully develop the innovative potential of modern technologies in practice.

With technologies such as Data Analytics, Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence methods, you will be able to use data for decision-making and for creating new service offerings. You will also be able to develop specific business models and strategies for entering new markets.

You will gain extensive knowledge of state-of-the-art technologies, assess market potential, and develop innovative products. You will evaluate the influence of new trends on existing value creation and business processes, and actively shape the future of the economy.

Who is the degree program suitable for?

The Business Administration and Engineering degree program with a specialization in digitalization is ideal for students who have a strong interest in modern technologies and digital innovations. They should enjoy analyzing and using data and have a good understanding of technical contexts and business processes. Creativity, problem-solving skills and an affinity for artificial intelligence are also advantageous. There are a wide range of career prospects in areas such as Data Science, Digital Product Management, Technology Management and Business Model Development. Graduates are in demand in industry, consulting or innovative start-ups, where they can actively shape the digital transformation and open up new market opportunities.

Internship & studying abroad

The Industrial Engineering and Management bachelor degree program includes a six-month internship semester (work placement), which can be completed abroad. Additionally, students can spend a semester studying at one of the 180 partner universities worldwide.

Students who spend an entire year abroad by combining the internship and study abroad semesters, and who fulfill other criteria, can obtain the "Bachelor International" degree. For a more extensive experience abroad, double degree programs are available with the Universidad Nacional del Litoral (UNL) in Argentina and the École d'ingénieur-e-s (EPF) in Cachan near Paris.
