How do I apply for a study place?
In order to apply for a master's program at HKA, whether it is a regular program or a continuing education master's program, please use the online HKA application portal. As a second step, you need to send your application documents to HKA by mail, except for the International Management and Business Administration & Engineering programs. In these cases, application will be exclusively online as of winter semester 2023/24. Please use the links below for a brief guide and for the list of degree programs for which you can currently apply. In addition, you can directly access the applicant portal if you do not need the instructions.
Master, first semester
The application deadline for the winter semester 23/24 is June 15, 2023 in case of the Tricontinental Master in Global Studies program and July 15, 2023 for the other master's programs. You can apply for the following degree programs for the winter semester 2023/24 entry:
Advanced semester
The application deadline for the winter semester 2023/24 is October 9, 2023.
Please apply directly via the University's application portal. For all degree programs including International Management and Business Administration & Engineering, the application to advanced semester must be printed out and sent to the University by post, together with the documents listed during the application process, by the application deadline.

Second degree studies
Application for a second degree follows the above application steps for the first semester. In addition, we require the master's degree certificate and a letter of motivation explaining why you are interested in the second program.
