Green Technology Management
Course sequence
The standard period of study for the Bachelor's program in Green Technology Management is seven semesters. The study program is divided into two semesters of basic studies and 5 semesters of advanced studies. Each semester 30 ECTS credit points are awarded.
Basic studies
For basic studies, students learn the fundamentals of mathematics, engineering informatics, electrical engineering, and technical mechanics. In addition, essentials of green technologies and management is taught. In the lectures, these subjects are directly linked to the contents of the program. For example, as early as the first semester, the basic subjects are embedded in a "Green-Tech Project", for which you work in a team on practical applications.
Advanced studies
In the advanced studies specific skills in measurement and control engineering, modeling, and programming are taught. This phase also includes thinking in networked systems as well as management and generic problem-solving strategies.
In addition, you will choose two of the following specializations to take in the fourth and sixth semesters:
- EE: Renewable Energies
- WB: Hydrogen & fuel cells
- ST: Storage Technologies
- KR: Climate & Natural Resources
- DE: Design Engineering
- DS: Digitization/Software
In the Advanced Studies, it is possible, in addition to the compulsory lectures, to take elective courses from the General Studies according to your own interests.
Internship semester
In the fifth semester, you will complete an internship semester in a company of your choice. Our advisors in the Internship Board will assist you in finding and carrying out the internship.
In addition to the internship semester, you will attend courses to prepare for and follow up on the practical phase. These include training on how to apply and introduction to scholarly methods. Internship semesters abroad are actively supported by contacts to international research institutions and companies, among other things.
Bachelor's thesis and Final Exam
In the seventh semester, you will write your final bachelor's thesis, which includes an oral examination. The thesis can be written either at the university or in cooperation with a company - even abroad.
Students who have successfully completed their bachelor's degree can go on to study for a Master's degree and specialize further professionally.
