As an engineer with knowledge in the field of environmental technology, you are in high demand on the job market. New professionals are needed who have more than just technical understanding of a traditional engineering discipline. Cities, states and companies need coordinators with broad background knowledge to be able to evaluate the variety of green technologies of the future and to use them profitably and harmonize them in a meaningful way.
The Green Technology Management degree program therefore combines engineering with management and economics, because there is an urgent need for professionals who can think across systems, have a broad engineering education, and can demonstrate additional skills in management and organization.
Graduates of the Bachelor's degree program in Green Technology Management are fully employable engineers. Possible fields of employment for a young B.Sc. in Green Technology Management range from private to public employers, such as in the manufacturing sector, utilities such as municipal utilities, service providers, suppliers, engineering firms, certifiers, etc., to globally active NGOs.

In and around Karlsruhe in particular, there are many promising and globally positioned companies that are active in the energy sector. Many students already get to know their future employer during their studies. During the internship semester or during a cooperative thesis you can already establish valuable contacts.
You can follow this up by studying a Master’s program out of those offered by our Faculties, and top it up by a cooperative doctorate in cooperation with German or international universities.
