Internship semester
You will not only put what you have learned into practice in the numerous projects. In the fifth semester you will spend an internship in a company of your choice and get to know the working world. From small companies with less than 10 employees to world market leaders in the medium-sized business sector to global conglomerates: Karlsruhe and the surrounding region offer a wide variety of different companies, all of which are happy to welcome internship students from our degree program. Frequently, a bachelor's thesis or an employment contract for the time after graduation is already arranged during the internship. The internship semester can also be completed abroad.

Semester abroad
Many of our students spend a semester abroad. There they not only improve their foreign language skills but also learn to adapt to a new social environment and react flexibly to changes. It is equally important to establish contacts with other students and to better get to know foreign countries and cultures. It is best to combine a stay abroad with the internship semester, but other than that HKA also has worldwide cooperations with various universities. The International Office will actively support you in traveling to your desired destination and will help you with the crediting of courses you attend there.
