Communication and Media Management

Profile Content Internship & studying abroad Career prospects

Career prospects

Graduates of the Communication & Media Management degree program have excellent opportunities on the job market, as information and communication professionals are in demand everywhere. Professional information, language and knowledge management are real competitive advantages for companies, meaning that the demand for such specialists is already very high and is increasing even further due to digitalization.

The degree program prepares you perfectly for future professional profiles by providing you with skills in 5 major subject areas. Details on these subject areas can be found here

  • Language and Language Management
  • IT and Information Management
  • Multimedia and Web Technologies
  • Corporate and Product Communication
  • Design and Media

In your career, you will then set your own personal priorities - according to your individual interests and abilities.

Many of our students value the program precisely because of this breadth in the skills profile: If you choose KMM, you do not immediately make a final decision on a fixed career profile, but can try out a few more semesters and get to know different areas.

During the internship semester, you can experience and try out for the first time in real professional life whether your favorite subject will actually determine your professional future and which alternatives are available.

Internship and studying abroad

Location advantage

With numerous local software companies, organizations and research institutions, Karlsruhe offers an excellent infrastructure, even by international standards. The application-oriented study components and the final Bachelor's thesis are often carried out in cooperation with regional companies or research institutions. As a result, many students already establish contacts with potential employers during their studies.

What exactly is the use of a KMM degree?

The career prospects and fields are so diverse that we don't even know where to start... We therefore let some graduates have their say.

"Where did find yourself after graduating from KMM?"
