The International Management (IMTM) degree program primarily focuses on business administration, but due to its interdisciplinary nature, it extends far beyond a classic business administration degree. With the possibility to set your own focus and a variety of electives, you can tailor your profile towards your future career goals.

With a degree in International Management, many paths are open to you. Our graduates analyze processes, lead teams, and manage projects in companies both domestically and internationally.

This master's degree program will enable you to quickly and independently familiarize yourself with specialized topics and train your communication, methodological, and analytical skills. Our successful graduates are characterized by their broad specialist knowledge and interdisciplinary perspective.

Time and again, top ratings in Germany's leading university rankings , such as the CHE ranking, consistently demonstrate that our degree program and graduates are highly sought after.

Most courses are conducted in the form of lectures and seminars. This is supplemented by one or two intermediate colloquia (depending on the chosen study variant A or B), where you will learn to effectively present your own research results in the context of your master's thesis and put them up for discussion.

And after graduating? Your career!

Graduates are readily employed by large corporations, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), or management consultancies. Thanks to their interdisciplinary studies, they can quickly grow into management roles both nationally and internationally. Our graduates usually find employment in business or industry within a very short time. If you prefer to work in academia and research, the option of a doctorate is also available to you.

Possible fields of activity for graduates of the International Management Master:

+ Strategy and planning
+ Purchasing
+ Controlling
+ Marketing
+ Accounting and Finance
+ Human Resources

Who is the program aimed at?

Of course, you should have an interest in business administration and an international environment—ideally, you have already demonstrated this in your Bachelor's degree. The ideal prerequisite would be a first degree in business administration or management.

You should have:

+ Comprehensive knowledge of business administration
+ Interest in scientific work
+ Ability to work in a team
+ Very good knowledge of German and English

For example, you can participate in research work in our laboratories and find a topic for your thesis based on this. If you prefer to demonstrate your knowledge through practical application in a company, you can also write your thesis in cooperation with a company in the 3-semester variant. A good command of German and English is an important prerequisite in both cases.
