Profile Content

Multifaceted studies with lots of practice

Following the basic studies you will have lectures and practical laboratory work on measurement technology, control technology, control engineering as well as robotics. Of course, there is a special emphasis on the topics of process automation and versatile laboratory work on automation technology.
The subjects of power electronics and Industry 4.0 are also treated.

During your Industrial Automation studies you will be given plenty of room and support for practical project work in addition to the laboratories!

You learn to think the whole picture

Programming and controlling equipment are the main tasks of Industrial Automation. In addition to electrical engineering, there are many points of contact with other fields such as process engineering and mechanics. Therefore you need a good overview. We train you for this and prepare you ideally for an exciting and varied professional life, with a perfect mix of theory and its practical application.

This is how your study of Industrial Automation proceeds

All students in the Electrical Engineering and Information Technology program complete a common foundation course during the first two semesters. Industrial Automation is one of five specializations that can be selected for the advanced studies starting in the third semester. In the following you will find information on how the individual semesters are structured and about the content of the modules.
