Profile Projects
  • Boundary layer flows

The mechanisms that lead to the formation and growth of turbulence spots and thus to the transition from a laminar to a turbulent boundary layer are being investigated. The influence of certain surface structures on the boundary layer is also of interest to us. read more >

  • Adsorption heat pumps

New adsorber compounds based on activated carbon and fully encapsulated adsorption modules are being developed, with which cost-effective, energy-efficient adsorption heat pumps with high power density can be realized. read more >

  • Thermally conductive plastics

Rising demand for copper and aluminum will lead to a future shortage of raw materials and increasing prices. We are therefore conducting research on compounds made from environmentally friendly polymers and fillers that can be used as substitutes for thermally conductive products. read more >

  • Electronic Powered Airplane Booster (EPAB)

Development of an electrical system for maintaining the performance of naturally aspirated engines. The goal of the project is to compensate for the power loss of piston aircraft engines due to the decrease in ambient air pressure. read more >
