Mechanical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
In the Mechanical Engineering master's program you build on the fundamentals from the bachelor's program. Now you have the opportunity to set your own focus. At Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences, we offer you the two modern and future-oriented specializations "Digitalization in Product Design" and "Energy Efficiency in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Environmental Technology", with which you will score points on the job market.
Engineering 4.0 - mechanical engineering re-vamped
Digitalization and networking have long since arrived in companies. As a result, more and more data and information is being generated in production that can be used systematically and profitably.
However, a meaningful digitalization approach can already arise in the product design phase. In the offered specialization "Digitalization in Product Design", we therefore focus, among other things, on the potentials in the upstream processes. Machine learning, data science, industrial robotics, virtual factories and digital twins are on the curriculum.
Save the world with refrigeration, air conditioning and environmental engineering
Refrigeration and air conditioning engineers have a mission: To use energy as efficiently as possible to minimize the impact on the environment. The field combines a lot of knowledge from different areas. In the "Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Environmental Engineering" specialization, we therefore teach you all the important basics to be successful in this very agile and exciting industry.
After graduation, you will be able, for example, to design efficient control systems for refrigeration and air conditioning systems. You will be able to plan refrigeration and air conditioning systems in an energy-efficient way as well as optimize existing systems in terms of energy, and have in-depth knowledge in the field of heat pumps and alternative refrigeration.
