Industrial engineers are typically employed in the following industries, for example: Automotive engineering, mechanical engineering, electronics, aviation, computer science, services, logistics, and consulting. Equally wide-ranging are the possible uses in companies: Industrial engineers often work as product managers, project engineers, key account managers, process optimizers, logisticians, information managers, controllers, market researchers, sales representatives or personnel experts.
