“Cultivating Resilience and Well-being in Academia”

Junior Summer School for Bachelor students at the „Gabriele d'Annunzio“ University Chieti – Pescara (Italy)

This program is crafted to empower participants to flourish in academic settings by prioritizing well-being as a foundation for success. It offers practical strategies to reduce stress, enhance concentration, and build resilience. Through a blend of theoretical exploration, experiential learning, and mindfulness exercises, participants will cultivate a holistic approach to sustaining mental and emotional balance while achieving their academic and personal goals. 

Key programme highlights include: 

  • Techniques for managing stress and emotions effectively

  • Time management and goal-setting workshops

  • Guided meditation sessions to enhance mental clarity and focus

  • Collaborative prblem-solving and tamwork exercises

  • Personalized resilience plans for academic and personal success

“From Earth Surface to Space”

Senior Summer School for Master and PhD students at the University of Crete (Greece)

Dates:

May 19-23, 2025: On-site Programm in Crete | two online session will be organized in advance (date tba)

The INGENIUM Summer Senior School 2025 will focus on the consequences of climate change on the environment and biodiversity, emphasizing the importance of Earth observation through innovative technologies and commercialization. The climate crisis significantly impacts our environment, prompting us to address climate change, environmental degradation, and biodiversity loss. Monitoring environmental parameters is crucial in tackling these challenges. Space-based Earth observation has transformed our understanding of the planet and our interaction with it. Through innovative technologies and commercialization, we have enhanced how we study and protect the environment.
The program will include workshops, lectures, and hands-on activities organized around four main pillars: Climate Crisis and Its Impact, Observing the Earth, Connectivity and Innovation, and Commercialization, aimed at:

  • Understanding of climate change and its causes.
  • A deep understanding of how Earth and Space will help us to protect our planet.
  • Familiarization with environmental in situ and satellite observations and their use.
  • Familiarity with various methods of observation of Earth through Space and their benefits.
  • A comprehensive understanding of how the leverage of the power of technology and data collection systems enhance the understanding of the world around us.
  • Insight into the role of innovation and commercialization across the space technologies domain.

Through this Summer Senior School, students will develop skills of holistic approach, collaboration and critical thinking.
