TER.R.A Puzzle: HKA launches world record attempt, INGENIUM joins in across Europe
On Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences (HKA) will launch an extraordinary Guinness World Record attempt: the world’s largest Climate Fresk workshop. The goal is to bring together more than 1,800 participants on site to raise awareness of the urgent challenges of climate change and to send a strong, united message for global climate action. But this event will not stand alone: on the same day, our European partner universities will also host parallel Climate Fresk workshops as part of an international INGENIUM initiative.

HKA hosts third INGENIUM Joint Research Group meeting on biomass valorisation
On May 14–15, 2025, Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences (HKA) hosted the third meeting of the INGENIUM Joint Research Group on “Valorisation of Biomass and Safe Production.” The event brought together representatives from Université Rouen Normandie (URN) and Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iași (TUIASI) to strengthen collaboration in sustainable biomass research.

HKA Rector sends a strong signal for universities of applied sciences at EU workshop in Paris
On 5 May 2025, Prof. Dr Rose Marie Beck, Rector of Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences (HKA), was a panellist at the ‘Choose Europe for Science, Choose Alliances’ workshop at the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research in Paris. In the presence of EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and French President Emmanuel Macron, representatives of European university alliances discussed the future of European scientific cooperation.
