Data Science
In the cutting-edge bachelor's degree program Data Science, you will learn to design solutions for complex problems in connection with large amounts of data, to evaluate them and to implement them with current technologies and tools. In addition to theory, we teach you, by means of project work, practical content from computer science, mathematics and statistics, which is combined with domain knowledge from business (e.g. Industry 4.0, Smart Logistics, Financial Services).
Perfect study mix of lectures and hands-on experience
For your studies, you can expect comprehensive theoretical and practical training in all areas of Data Science. Data Analytics, Machine Learning, or Big Data will no longer be unfamiliar to you. You will apply your knowledge directly in smaller data science projects, extensive domain projects and in the internship semester in a company.
Your degree in Data Science with career prospects
The bachelor's degree program concludes after seven semesters with the degree "Bachelor of Science" (B.Sc.) qualifying for professional life. After successfully completing the Bachelor's program in Data Science you can also get admission to the Master's degree progream in Computer Science or the Master's degree program in Business Information Systems.

Lena Sommer has been studying Data Science since the 2020/2021 winter semester, making her one of the first students to take this course at Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences. Prior to that, she studied business administration for two years at DHBW Karlsruhe.
