Student Tim talks about his experience
Tim Plapp is studying Automotive Engineering at Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences and has just successfully completed his bachelor's thesis. The dedicated working student is a mentor for students in their first semester and a member of our High Speed Karlsruhe racing car team.
Tim, why did you decide to study this program?
Even before I decided to study, I was passionate about developing solutions to complex problems. Due to my great interest in F1 technology and alternative drive systems, I came across the Automotive Engineering program at Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences.
What did you particularly like about it?
I particularly liked the diverse range of lectures and the good mix between application and lectures. In addition, there is always enough space for studying with a study group. When it comes to projects or lectures, contact with the teaching staff is always direct and uncomplicated. Last but not least: the tabletop soccer.
Where were challenges for you?
I found it challenging to figure out how to make the learning process most effective for me.
What would you recommend to prospective students?
Definitely find a study group that is fun to study with. Also, I can recommend the professional tabletop soccer in the student's council. For a lunch culinary highlight it's best to visit La Rose or Kebabi.
If you had to describe studying in three words?
Educational, challenging, relevant
