Institute for Robotics and Autonomous Systems
Student research
The Institute of Robotics and Autonomous Systems (IRAS) offers students a variety of final and project work opportunities for bachelor's and master's students every semester. Projects are supervised by professors as primary reviewers, with additional guidance provided by other professors or doctoral students serving as secondary reviewers. Master's theses receive intensive supervision from the institute's research staff.
Despite the scientific focus, there is close cooperation with companies through research partnerships. Bachelor's theses can be conducted either in a company or directly in the Institute's research area. They often involve the practical implementation of robotic applications or the handling of subtasks within larger research projects. In addition to specific topic announcements, students have the option to discuss other topics with professors or doctoral students. These topics are chosen based on their scientific relevance, integration into ongoing research, and the specific interests and abilities of the students.
