Scalable & cost-effective facilitation of professional identity transformation in public employment services

Objective

Social upheavals, rising youth unemployment and increased migration as a result of the financial and euro crises, and the use of new information technologies pose new challenges to employment services with scarce human and financial resources. This process of change has a strong impact on the employees of employment services: They are often caught between old and new professional roles and performance expectations and demands. In addition, new competencies are needed in some cases to carry out activities effectively - for example, in building bridges between real life and work biographical transitions.
EmployID addresses this transformation process and offers support to PES:   Project partners from different countries study the changing job profiles and deploy innovative information and communication technologies that favor the internal learning process, as well as coaching, reflection and social interactions among PES employees.
