Virtual Barman
Virtual bartender
Research on digitization in industry doesn't always have to be dry as dust. The best proof of this is our virtual bartender, which combines research with practical application. Here, two research fields in particular are being worked on as part of student projects:
Communication and Information Modeling
In the future, a plant is only as good as its connection to the environment. With the plant, we can implement and directly compare different types such as OPC and OPC UA. In addition, the representation of the automaton in other systems can be worked out (information modeling).
User Interaction
Those who have always wanted to converse with a machine have the opportunity to do so here. In addition to "classic" interaction with touchscreens and RFIDs, the virtual bartender can also take orders via a 3D-animated web interface. Two chatbots are also available, which can provide the user not only with drinks but also with information.
