Civil Engineering Tri-national
Civil Engineering - designing and building living spaces
Would you like to expand on your Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Tri-national and aim for a Master's degree? Our Master's program in Civil Engineering Tri-national offers you the opportunity to expand your knowledge according to your interests in one of the three specializations: Structural Engineering, Traffic Engineering, or Water Engineering. In doing so, we keep in view the demands placed on you as a graduate by the international construction industry. You will be brought up to date in the use of specialist programs, you will practice applying your knowledge to real projects in small groups, and you will be intensively supervised and supported by the study program’s staff.
Structural Engineering
The demands on construction and building materials have grown considerably due to higher buildings and slimmer constructions under the aspects of economic efficiency and energy balance. New building materials open up new possibilities but also require new design and calculation methods. This in turn calls for innovative solutions that require increasingly specialized knowledge in planning and implementation. And this situation is exactly what we prepare you for in your Master's program.
Traffic Engineering
Traffic routes must be adapted to the current traffic volume and their safety must be increased. Old streets are often too narrow for the current traffic volume and do not have the necessary parking spaces. The basic functions of a street "connection", "access" and "stay" have to be re-evaluated and designed with regard to the higher load. In addition, planning traffic routes is also subject to special attention from the public and must meet environmental requirements. In this Master's degree program we will provide you with the tools to cope with this field of tension and to successfully start your professional life.
Water Engineering
Drinking water is regarded worldwide as an important commodity that must be protected. At the same time, societies produce wastewater that poses a major threat to natural waters. Therefore, both supplying drinking water in sufficient quantity and perfect quality and the proper and environmentally sound disposal of wastewater via sewers and wastewater treatment plants are important tasks and part of the curriculum. Another fundamental element is the transformation of flowing waters into an ecologically good condition as well as developing sustainable flood protection - all against the background of climate change, which is becoming increasingly noticeable. If these are topics that also concern you, then the Water Engineering specialization is the right place for you. We look forward to welcoming you!
