International Management
Structure of the study program
The standard duration of the Bachelor's degree program in International Management is eight semesters to ensure a fully comprehensive, generalist qualification into which stays abroad can be easily integrated. The study program is divided into two semesters of basic studies and six semesters of advanced studies. An internship abroad is scheduled in the fifth semester. Our internship boards support students in organizing the internship semester. The program comprises 30 credit points (ECTS) per semester.
When entering the advanced studies, students have the opportunity to specialize by choosing, in addition to the compulsory lectures, various assignments, elective courses, a suitable internship semester and bachelor's thesis, totaling 67 credit points. The final Bachelor's thesis can be written either at the university or in cooperation with a company - even abroad. In addition, there is the option of studying three semesters in Argentina with financial support and to obtain a dual degree .
The Bachelor's degree can be followed by a Master's degree program lasting two semesters and conferring 60 credit points, as well as a Master's program with a larger scope. At many international universities outside Europe, a minimum of four years of study is expected for the recognition of the first university degree and thus as a prerequisite for admission to a Master's program. This requirement is met by the Bachelor's degree in International Management from Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences.

Languages
The courses are mainly taught in German language, alternatively in English as language of instruction. At the university's own Foreign Language Institute all students can acquire and improve their own language skills in lessons with native speakers.
As part of your Bachelor's degree, you are required to obtain the "Certificate of Proficiency in English for Professional Purposes" from Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences. For the International Management program, a second foreign language (Spanish or French) is mandatory.
