Vita
Fiona Schmidbauer is a PhD Candidate of the Knowledge Media Doctoral Programme at the Institute for Intelligent Interaction and Immersive Experiences (IIIX) at HKA. She studied Pedagogy and Educational Science with a minor in Sociology at LMU Munich. After completing her bachelor's degree, she worked as an e-learning consultant at Munich University of Applied Sciences, where she developed an e-learning concept for personnel development and was involved in the implementation of a knowledge management platform. Following this position, she pursued a master's degree in e-learning and media education at the Heidelberg University of Education. Upon successfully completing her master's degree, she worked as a researcher in the leadership team of the ENCORE+ project at DHBW Karlsruhe. Since May 2023, she has been part of the IIIX team at HKA.
Research
Fiona Schmidbauer is conducting research for her PhD at IIIX on the topic of "Social Learning Experiences in Virtual Spaces".
