The aim of this course is to become aware of and identify complex challenges and problems that our society is facing and how the sustainable development goals are interconnected and integrated into all challenges.
Six online workshops from October to December
The course is divided into six online workshops consisting of both lectures and discussions, based on a real life challenge an external partner (company or Non-Governmental Organisation) will present.
Topics include climate change, food systems, energy, health, sustainable mobility, education and social security – all related to the three pillars of sustainability: social, environmental and economic. All INGENIUM students are welcome to join. No specific background or expertise is needed. You can join one or several challenge labs or you can join all six. If you join all six and do a quiz after each workshop and one written assignment at the end – you can get 1,5 credits. The first workshop is on October 8 and the last on December 10.
More information about the programme and dates of the INGENIUM Challenge Labs as well as the registration form can be found on the website of the hosting University of Skövde (Schweden) and the INGENIUM European University.
If you want to receive the 1,5 credits please register before October 8. In all other cases, you can register up to the day of the respective workshop.
