What is DynApSys?

The innovative Dynapsys research project is a multidisciplinary effort involving transport companies, science and industry. It focuses onsupporting passengers in reaching their destinations safely and conveniently using public transport. To this end, individual sequence and trip planning, which was previously carried out manually, will be automated as far as possible. The new basis for planning is no longer routes, but the user's agenda. Thus, based on the daily planning with appointments and tasks, a mobility plan is calculated that accompanies the user through the day. In addition, the background system DynCloud is to provide the user always current, relevant information with the help of the mobile application DynApp (e.g. delays, disruptions, public transport offers, Park & Ride, third-party providers such as restaurants and much more). At the same time, the knowledge about the needs and situation of passengers should contribute to demand-oriented public transport service planning and thus to the efficient utilization of transport modes.
