The INGENIUM@HKA Seed Fund offers you financial support (up to €5,000) to implement innovative projects in areas such as sustainability, entrepreneurship, health, diversity or inclusion. Applications can be submitted on an ongoing basis. Projects must be implemented by November 2026 at the latest.

International research, joint supervision, and a strong European network: The call for the INGENIUM Joint PhD Programmes 2026 is now open. The programmes offer doctoral candidates the opportunity to pursue their PhD in collaboration with several INGENIUM partner universities while gaining valuable international research experience.

Applicants can choose from three Joint PhD Programmes in the fields of Earth and Planetary Sciences, Human-Centred Artificial Intelligence: Foundations and Applications, and Innovative Strategies for Wellbeing. A particular highlight for Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences is the programme Human-Centred Artificial Intelligence: Foundations and Applications, which was developed with the participation and coordination of three HKA professors.

The call for applications for the INGENIUM PhD Mobility and Co-Supervision Scholarships 2026 is now open. The program enables doctoral students at INGENIUM partner universities to undertake research stays at another university within the alliance and supports the establishment of long-term co-supervision arrangements. Funding is available for stays of up to four months, with up to €1,000 per month (max. €4,000 per project). These scholarships may be combined with other funding sources, such as Erasmus+. The program focuses on international mobility during the doctoral phase and on fostering sustainable academic collaborations within the INGENIUM Alliance.

All INGENIUM staff can login on Sustainability | Ingenium LMS with their institutional / university account. 
Whether you’re looking for inspiration, ready-made content, or new ways to engage your students, the platform offers plenty of opportunities to bring sustainability into your teaching.

Blended Intensive Programs (BIPs) are jointly designed and implemented courses. They combine a short physical mobility with a virtual phase.
As the organizing or coordinating university, you/your department/your institution organize the event and host the face-to-face event at HKA. You will receive organizational support of €400 per mobile learner (€4,000 - 6,000) from Erasmus+ funds. INGENIUM @HKA will be happy to support you, e.g. in finding a partner.
