Would you like to improve your language skills and meet students from other European countries? With INGENIUM Linguistic Tandems, you’ll be paired with a student from another INGENIUM partner university. Together, you can practice languages, talk about your daily student life, and learn more about life and culture in each other’s countries.
How does it work?
You specify which language(s) you’d like to practice. You’ll then be matched with a suitable tandem partner from another INGENIUM university. Over a period of about six to eight weeks, you decide for yourselves when and how you’ll communicate. Suggested topics help you get the conversation started—for example, about your studies, hobbies, music, travel, or daily life. What makes this special: There are no classes and no exams. You learn from each other and practice the language in a practical way through conversation.
Who can participate?
All students at INGENIUM partner universities can participate, regardless of their degree program or field of study. Whether you’re pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree: You don’t need any special prior knowledge—just a desire to connect and meet new people.
Why is it worth it?
- Practice languages in real-life situations: Practice in real conversations instead of just with a textbook.
- Get to know Europe: Learn more about other countries, cultures, and universities.
- Build connections: Meet students from the INGENIUM network and expand your international network.
