The two-day program included a visit to the Biomethananlage Mühlacker GmbH & Co. KG biomethane plant, a “Research Snack” session at HKA’s Institute for Thermofluid Dynamics, and project discussions across several HKA research institutes. Participants also explored a science history exhibition at the ZKM | Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe, which featured a guided tour of the historic HKA Zuse computer. The visit concluded with a cultural excursion to Turmberg, offering panoramic views of the city.
The event was hosted by Jens Denecke (HKA), who welcomed research partners Nicolas Brodu and Imed Ben Taouba (URN), along with Lenuța Kloetzer, Alexandra Blaga, and Alexandra Tucaliuc (TUIASI). Their collaboration continues to drive innovative, multidisciplinary approaches to sustainable biomass utilization and foster academic exchange within the INGENIUM European University network. During their stay, the URN representatives also met with three students from their university currently doing an internship at HKA made possible through INGENIUM mobility opportunities.
The research group exemplifies the INGENIUM European University’s commitment to collaborative projects that combine scientific excellence with real-world relevance and societal impact.
