10 Days of INGENIUM in Finland and Spain

February 17-21, 2025 at UNIOVI in Spain - for Master and PhD students

"Creativity and Communication in Research"

Improve your ability to effectively communicate your research findings and promote creativity in academic and public settings through a one-week stay at the Universidad de Oviedo (UNIOVI) in Spain.  

Key objectives include:

  • Developing critical thinking and the ability to synthesize complex ideas to add impact to your research
  • Mastering different communication methods to engage effectively with the academic community and the wider public
  • Promote scientific and cultural progress through clear, accessible dissemination of research findings as a contribution to a knowledge-based society

What can you expect? 

  • The intensive week in Spain will consist of conferences, workshops, group projects and interactive presentations, including a final project competition. By participating in the Senior Winter School you will earn 3 ECTS.   
  • The Senior Winter School also includes three online sessions - two before and one after the week in Spain. The sessions will take place between January 20 and February 28, 2025. Exact dates to be announced. 

The call is open to Master and PhD students of all study fields.

February 10-14, 2025 at XAMK in Finland - for Bachelor students

"From Idea to Disruption: Transforming Visions into Innovations"

Expand your entrepreneurial skills, design thinking, multicultural teamwork and communication skills by solving real-world stakeholder challenges during a week at the South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences (XAMK) in Finland.   

The cases will be focused on the topics of:

  • Nature and Wellbeing
  • Smart Cities
  • Circular Economy
  • Logistics and Security
  • Digitalization and Tourism 

What to expect? 
During the intensive week in Finland, you will work on real-life cases in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams. You will also have some lectures and workshops. By completing the Junior Winter School, you will gain 3 ECTS.   

The Junior Winter School also includes three online sessions – two before and one after the intensive week. Each session is 2 hours. The online pre-sessions will be held in January, and the online debriefing at the end of February. Dates will be announced later. 

The call is open to Bachelor students of all study fields.
