Students in this specialization are prepared for the various tasks in the finance departments of capital market-related companies or in consulting, auditing or tax consulting firms. Therefore, the specialization modules aim to provide you with a solid understanding of how capital and financial markets work and how they can be used for (re-)financing, investment and risk management.

You will become proficient in dealing with the objectives, workings, and methods of financial corporate management, as well as gaining knowledge of how to deal with international accounting standards and accounting policies.

Additionally, you will develop a critical awareness of national and international taxation rules and be able to identify relevant issues.

Who is the specialization suitable for?

Are you interested in financial corporate management and have an affinity for numbers? Are you also drawn in topics such as capital markets and corporate taxes? Then this is the right place for you.

With the professional and social skills you acquire and your specialization in Financial Management, you will be ideally prepared to work in the areas of such as controlling, financial accounting, tax, transfer pricing, treasury management, risk management, investor relations and as an assistant to the commercial management or staff units in the finance department of a company.

Internship & studying abroad

The specialization in Financial Management is application-oriented, using project work and practical case studies to familiarize students with concrete practical issues right from the start.

The compulsory internship semester, which can be completed in Germany or abroad, offers students an excellent opportunity to apply and implement the knowledge and specialist skills acquired in the specialization directly in a company, gaining hands-on experience with numerous business processes.
