In mid-July, during a celebratory ceremony at INSA Strasbourg, Prof. Dr. Rose Marie Beck, President of Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences (HKA), and her French counterpart, Prof. Dr. Romuald Boné, Director of the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées (INSA) Strasbourg, officially signed an agreement to launch a cooperative double degree program in Electrical Engineering .
The program offers German and French students the opportunity to study in both countries, immersing themselves in the languages and cultures of Germany and France. This ensures that students are optimally prepared for the engineering profession in both countries and significantly improves their cross-border career opportunities.
“We paid particular attention to closely aligning the curricula of both universities,” says Prof. Dr. Jan Bauer, program coordinator at HKA’s Faculty of Electrical Engineering & Information Technology, “This also allows to integrate many hands-on components, so that students have an even more seamless and practice-oriented study program.”
Students who are interested in the double degree program can apply either at INSA Strasbourg or HKA.
By signing the agreement, both universities are also sending a powerful message of Franco-German friendship and their shared commitment to advancing the education of engineers.
