The Institute for Intelligent Interaction and Immersive Experience (IIIX) is delighted that institute director Prof. Dr.-Ing. Matthias Wölfel has taken on the role of editor-in-chief for the international open access journal EAI Endorsed Transactions on Creative Technologies.

His new role involves a reorientation of the journal's content: the focus is now increasingly on current issues relating to artificial intelligence, immersive media, digital creativity, and their interactions with society, culture, and identity.

The journal sees itself as an interdisciplinary forum at the interface of technology, art, and society. The focus is on creative applications of artificial intelligence, hybrid experiential spaces in XR, virtual performances, digitally mediated interaction, and artistic-research explorations of new technologies.

We warmly congratulate Prof. Wölfel on this new role and invite anyone interested to visit the journal's website to find out more about its aims and scope, as well as opportunities to contribute.
