Research Spotlight from IDSS@HKA
We are excited to share that our researcher Alexander Niedermayer, together with David Monschein and Prof. Oliver P. Waldhorst, presented their paper at the 3rd Workshop on Machine Learning in Networking (MaLeNe 2025), co-located with the NetSys 2025 conference in Ilmenau Germany.
Paper Title: Client-Agnostic Continuous Authentication via Keystroke-Induced Traffic Patterns. Read the paper here.
Their work introduces a novel method for continuous, client-agnostic user authentication by analyzing keystroke-induced network traffic patterns. This approach eliminates the need for client-side modifications and thereby reduces usability drawbacks.
This research demonstrates how machine learning and network monitoring can be combined to create user-friendly security solutions.
