June 8, 2022

At the end of May, the Senior Management of Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences (HKA) and representatives of the Faculties of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics as well as Electrical Engineering and Information Technology received a delegation from Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP). During the visit, the two universities agreed to cooperate even more closely. To this end, they signed a Memorandum of Understanding that provides for joint research activities over the next five years as well as cooperation in the development of curricula. The mutual exchange of students and teaching staff as well as joint events are also part of the agreement.

UMP has already been cooperating for twelve years with HKA's Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics, which is now being extended to the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology. At the heart of the cooperation is a double degree program in the Bachelor's degree programs in Automotive Engineering and Mechatronics and in the Master's degree program in Automotive Systems Engineering. Through the program, students can study abroad and earn degrees from both universities. In the future, this study option will also be offered for the Electrical Engineering and Information Technology program.
