HsKA Awards 2021

Awarding the best among the best

The 13 best of the year at Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences are presented online

January 22, 2021

Normally, the year's best are honored at the suggestion of the faculties in the festive framework of the Academic Annual Celebration of the university, where the respective thesis is usually presented to the audience in an entertaining way via a short video.

Corona unfortunately, this is also currently not possible. But on the award of the best among the best the university did not want to renounce in any case. Thus Prof. Dr. Angelika Altmann-Dieses, Prorector for study, teachings and internationales, lent this year for the first time the HsKA Awards to the 13 class-best graduates in a university-internal on-line Event on yesterday 21.01.2021. At the beginning the mayor of the city of Karlsruhe, Dr. Frank Mentrup, was very pleased in his welcoming speech about the new event format, with which even under the current difficult conditions a way was found to continue the long tradition of awards for the best graduates at the university. The award winners and their theses will now also be presented publicly - again mostly with corresponding videos - on the website www.hs-karlsruhe.de/preise-fuer-studierende.

At the conclusion of the online event, Prof. Dr. Angelika Altmann-Dieses thanked all prize donors "for making it possible, through your support, to combine the recognition of these outstanding final theses with the awarding of prizes."
