Daniel Kubica M.Eng.

Vita

Daniel Kubica is an urban planner registered with the Baden-Württemberg Chamber of Architects (AKBW) and has been a research associate at Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences since December 2024. Within the joint project “move.mORe – Sustainable Mobility in the Upper Rhine Region”, he works on sustainable mobility, spatial accessibility and data-driven approaches to urban and regional development. A particular focus of his work is on GIS-based analyses and the transfer of scientific findings into municipal practice.

From 2019 to 2024, he worked at berchtoldkrass space&options in Karlsruhe. His main areas of work included the development of urban design concepts and spatial frameworks, site and development potential analyses, the processing and visualisation of geospatial data, as well as the design and facilitation of participatory processes.

He gained further practical experience at IBA Hamburg GmbH and during an international internship at the Dirección Regional de Planeamiento del Biobío of Chile’s Ministerio de Obras Públicas (MOP) in Concepción, Chile.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning from HafenCity University Hamburg and a master’s degree in Urban Planning from the University of Applied Sciences Stuttgart.
