As part of the "European Universities" initiative, HKA is developing new concepts for teaching, research, and continuing education together with nine partner universities in the INGENIUM alliance. For the sixth "10 Days of INGENIUM" in Iași (Romania) and Skövde (Sweden) in February 2026, students, teaching staff and governing bodies from all over Europe came together to set the strategic course for the new "Next INGENIUM" phase and pave the way for a more integrated European university alliance. The focus was on the Winter Schools "Science Meets Industry" and "Sustainability in Action" with practical projects on innovation, AI, sustainability, and technology transfer as well as the Staff Academy on European teaching innovations. HKA was actively represented by students, lecturers and the university management and played a key role in shaping the further development of a joint European campus.

The Romanian politician Roxana Mînzatu, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission for Social Rights and Skills, Quality Jobs and Preparedness, addresses the INGENIUM university alliance in a video message and emphasizes its pioneering role and the importance of strong partnerships in the European higher education landscape in order to jointly face the challenges in a world of global competition.
