Quantum Computing – The Microsoft Approach

Deepa Shinde is Lead AI/ML Architect and Quantum Computing Ambassador in the Innovation Team at Microsoft UK. She currently works as a leading pharmaceutical architect for AI and quantum omputing at Microsoft. Previously, she headed up the Applications, Business Intelligence and Information Management departments at Tullow Oil in the energy sector. 

She began her career in India as an algorithm developer in product development. She has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry, including 11 years in the energy sector. While studying computer science, she was involved in STEM tutoring for five years. She is particularly interested in modern physics – topics such as relativity, thermodynamics, string theory and quantum physics. In the webinar, she will give an introduction to quantum computing and explain Microsoft's strategy and platform. Other topics include hardware advances, post-quantum cryptography and practical applications.
