Privacy policy for the Studium Generale (HKA)

This data protection declaration applies to the collection, storage and processing of data entered in the course of applying for a certificate in the Studium Generale.

The input forms for the respective certificate applications in the Studium Generale are integrated into the general website of the HKA. The general data protection agreements of the HKA website can be found at: www.h-ka.de/datenschutz .

We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy. All personal data collected and processed by us as part of the certificate application process for Studium Generale is protected against unauthorized access and manipulation by technical and organizational measures.

Data collection

In the course of applying for a certificate in Studium Generale, we collect, store and process the personal data listed below from you. This is done for the purpose of issuing certificates and checking the grades of the submitted seminars. The legal basis is Art. 6. (1) Section a) (consent) and e) (processing to fulfill the university's tasks) of the GDPR.

Personal data will be deleted if the certificate is revoked or issued.

Right to information and to correction or deletion

The applicant has the right to free information about his/her personal data stored as part of the application. The applicant has the right to correct, delete and block the personal data provided as part of the General Studies certificate application. You can receive information via email at studiumgenerale@h-ka.de.

Right to complain to the data protection supervisory authority of the state of Baden-Württemberg

If you have reasonable suspicion of a violation of data protection or improper or criminal handling when collecting, storing or processing your data, you have the right to contact the state data protection officer of the state of Baden-Württemberg.

By entering your data in the online application form, you agree to the use of your data as part of the certificate application in Studium Generale. You can revoke this consent at any time with future effect and without giving reasons by sending an email to studiumgenerale@h-ka.de. In the event of a revocation, we will delete your personal data immediately.
