Office for Campus Infrastructure & Development

Overview Development

Campus Development is a division of the Department of Development, Construction and Infrastructure (EBI). We take on the challenges for a modern campus and focus on a master plan and project development in the area of development.

Masterplan HKA 2030+

In the HKA 2030+ master plan, we mark the milestones on the way to a climate-positive campus. The development of sustainable buildings and green open spaces with a high quality of stay, the pursuit of emission-free mobility, and the all-connecting social strengthening are the integral components of the plan.
We are focusing on a master plan and project development in the area of development.

Projects

As we move toward becoming a climate-positive campus, we are working on both long-term projects, such as the construction of new buildings, and medium- and small-scale projects.

HKA 2030+/TP

The new "Robotics in Production" degree program will be located in an innovative environment in the Technology Park Karlsruhe from 2021. New worlds of study and work will be tested there, which will serve as a blueprint for future campus development.

CAFM

Through CAFM (Computer Aided Facility Management), information management is achieved over the entire life cycle of campus buildings and smooth building operation is supported. Fault reports and service requests to the Construction and Infrastructure are handled through a CAFM ticketing system.

Space Management

HKA's space deficit will be addressed in the coming years through leases, renovations, replacements and new construction. Our buildings are to be efficiently managed in accordance with the University Financing Agreement II using a CAFM-based space management system.
