It is not only the study contents that are international. The internship semester, which takes place in the 5th semester, is carried out abroad and the Bachelor's thesis in cooperation with companies. In the "application project" students work on concrete tasks from corporate practice.

Final thesis in the company

The bachelor's thesis is usually carried out in cooperation with companies from a wide range of business sectors or with international research institutions. This increases your chances on the job market.

Dual degree

The bachelor's degree program in International IT Business can be completed as a dual degree program with the Universitatea de Vest din Timisoara in Timisoara, Romania. 

Two degrees at the same time

International dual degrees, in cooperation with foreign partner universities, give you the opportunity to obtain

  • a degree from the partner university
  • in addition to the degree from Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences.

Course structure in 7 semesters

After enrolling in the German-Romanian double degree program "International IT Business", you are at the same time a student at Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences and at the West University of Timisoara in Romania. 

For German students, the first to third semesters take place in Karlsruhe, the fourth and fifth semesters in Timisoara. 

The internship semester (fifth semester) is completed in a Romanian company. Many German companies are situated in the Timisoara region. They have an urgent need for specialists with knowledge of IT systems to support business processes.

The bachelor’s thesis in the 7th semester can be written either in Karlsruhe or in Timisoara.

How to apply for the dual degree program

Applicants must have completed their basic studies. You need to submit the following documents for application: 

  • Written application in German language
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Motivation letter
  • Transcript of marks

You can apply by the end of your 2nd semester.
