Philipp Fetzer - Bachelor's in Information Technology

Where did you start your career after graduation?

After graduating, I first worked for a medium-sized supplier of development tools for control units. Here I had contacts with a wide variety of companies in the automotive industry and supported them in the use of products for model-based ECU software development, among other things.

In which industry are you working now, and what position do you hold?

I am still working in the automotive industry, now at Robert Bosch GmbH in the Stuttgart area. Here I develop software for the company's various generations of engine control units. I mainly deal with developments in the area of gasoline direct injection.

What advice do you have for future students?

Attitude is the most important thing. Don't be afraid of new and unknown things, but try to always stay curious during your studies and, among fellow students, motivate each other. This is not horror studies but an exciting life experience with many opportunities for personal development, far beyond technical content!

Your personal conclusion?

A degree in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology is the ticket to an incredibly broad field of technical professions and occupations that hardly any other degree program makes possible.
