Construction Management & Economics

Profile

Sought-after all-rounders with foresight

Large construction projects present a number of challenges. Is the building designed correctly, will it remain standing when the next storm hits? Many things in the field of building physics have to be considered before a building can be constructed. But at the same time as the correct dimensioning and calculation of the object to be built takes place, the economic efficiency of the project must be calculated during the planning and construction phase, and the planning and construction itself must be planned and controlled. The operating phase must also be taken into account at an early stage already. And this is where you, as a future construction operator and construction manager, come into play.

Confidently maintaining an overview

You will be the authority who keeps track as the project is realized - during the planning phase, the construction, and beyond that in the operating phase of the finished building. You will accompany the building right from the start throughout its "building life". In our Bachelor's degree program with the two available specializations of Construction Management and Construction Engineering, you will acquire the necessary tools to mediate between the individual project stakeholders and to successfully conclude the project. Construction Management, with its in-depth content, covers the economic part of a construction project or of working for clients, while Construction Engineering focuses more on technical work and implementation in an engineering office or on the project implementation at the construction site.
