Ubiquitous Mobility Systems

Profile

Why mobility systems?

Mobility is a shaping topic in the present and future that also connects many subject areas in computer science. From an individual task of moving from one place to another, mobility is evolving into a complex system of interacting vehicle systems, vehicles, goods, people and information.

What are we researching?

Ubiquitous mobility systems enable flexible, intelligent systems of systems that support mobility in all situations in the best possible way and combine new services and technologies into a  "mobility experience" for mobile people.
At the Institute for Ubiquitous Mobility Systems (IUMS) we conduct research in the application field of mobility systems, primarily at the intersection of interaction and models in ubiquitous systems.

Our expertise lies in ubiquitous distributed systems (ubiquitous computing), in human-computer interaction and usability of ubiquitous systems, as well as in modeling complex systems and processes for adaptive systems.

What do we offer?

We not only have years of experience in the field of ubiquitous systems. Our employees with wide-ranging specialisations also contribute to our extensive expertise. With the help of the modern and newly equipped laboratory, we can help make your wishes come true.

Teaching at IUMS

The IUMS is responsible for the subject area of informatics in the degree programme Traffic Systems Management (VSM). From the individual movement of individuals mobility is developing into a complex system of interacting vehicles, vehicle systems, goods, people and information. Ubiquitous (ubiquitous) mobility systems are an important field of work with the best job prospects and future opportunities.
